Using the Plumb Line                                                                  30




                    The information provided by these lines can be quite valuable. They provide a refer-
               ence to how the body segments (Head, Torso, Hips) relate to each other in the X,Y axis.


                    Seeing a break in the line can indicate a lateral translation of that segment, or a rota-
               tion of the segment. The angles that appear at the top and bottom represent the angle
               generated by points 1 &  3 and points 3 & 4 respectively.

                       Plotting a Person's Balance Point



                    When you use the two plumb line tools, you are also deter-
               mining the person's "balance point". Normally, this point will be as
               shown by the black dot in the picture on the right.


                    By taking many factors into account, we have created a for-
               mula to predict where this balance point is for the person being
               analyzed. This feature should be used as an approximation.
