Using the AutoDetect Mode

Every Posture Pro, version 2 comes with two types of
image analysis. The manual mode, described in detail in the
previous pages, and the optional AutoDetect analysis mode.

By using advanced image processing software, we can
"tell" Posture Pro to detect certain colors in a picture and if the
right pattern of colors is present, to then plot screen coordi-
nates. Once the coordinates are reported back to Posture Pro,
the rest of the posture exam can be performed.

An example of a dot pattern is shown on the right. Posture
Pro, in the AP view, will look for either a three or five set dot
pattern. AutoDetect will find only the target color and ignore
background colors, even if the colors are close.

For instance, PP8 can discriminate be-
tween the colors in the target dots and the
similar color in the skirt.

To use AutoDetect you will need to set your
display to 224 or 32 bit (True Color). This is
done through the Windows Control Panel.

Using a true color display provides a great-
er difference between similar colors and returns
fewer errors in detection.

Other colors will work, but the above pro-
duce the most consistent results.
