For a complete AP clinical exam, the software looks for five pairs of dots over the follow-
ing locations.
For the head it is best to use a pair of safety glasses and put the dots on each side.
This makes it very convenient and fast to measure the head points, without putting any
dots on the patient’s skin.
For the shoulders, palpate the AC joints and place the dots just below. Make sure the
dots face toward the camera and NOT toward the ceiling.
For the hips, palpate the ASIS and place a dot over each.
For the knees, place the dots in the center of the kneecaps.
For the ankle, place a dot where the ankle curves into the foot.
