Studies have shown that FHP can be attributed to a variety of factors, including poor
posture habits, muscle imbalances, and structural abnormalities. In particular,
prolonged periods of sitting and poor ergonomic setups can contribute to the
development of FHP. For example, sitting with a rounded back or slouching can cause

the neck muscles to become tense and overworked, leading to a forward shift of the
                head.

An important aspect of FHP is the effect it has on the muscles of the neck and

shoulders. When the head is held in a forward position, the muscles at the back of the
neck become elongated and weakened, while the muscles at the front of the neck
become shortened and tight. This muscle imbalance can lead to pain and discomfort.
