Several studies have examined the validity and reliability of posture analysis
techniques. One study found that the visual assessment of posture by healthcare
professionals had low to moderate reliability. However, when using digital photography
and computer software to measure posture, reliability increased signi cantly. Another

study found that the use of a posture grid, a tool that outlines the ideal posture,
improved the reliability of visual posture assessments.

Other studies have examined the validity of different posture analysis techniques. For

example, a study compared the accuracy of different methods for measuring spinal
curvature, including radiography, photogrammetry, and inclinometry. The study found
that photogrammetry, a method that uses digital photography to capture spinal
                curvature, was the most accurate.
