Incl inometry
Inclinometry is a valuable tool in posture
analysis that measures the angle of
inclination of a particular body segment.
It provides a quantitative assessment of
the degree of forward head posture,
pelvic tilt, and other postural deviations.
Inclinometry can be used to evaluate the
effectiveness of posture correction
interventions and monitor progress over
time. This feature is built-into some
posture analysis software like Posture
Pro
The use of inclinometry in posture
analysis has been supported by
numerous studies. A study by
Mokhtarinia et al. (2016) found that
inclinometry was a reliable and valid
tool for assessing postural changes in
individuals with forward head posture.
Another study by Hasegawa et al.
(2017) found that inclinometry was
more accurate than visual observation
in detecting changes in pelvic tilt.
