The Science of Posture Analysis: Evidence-Based App roaches for Health
Professionals
There are several methods of posture
analysis, each with its own strengths
and limitations. Some of the most
commonly used methods include visual
observation, static and dynamic
measurements, and advanced
technology such as computerized
motion analysis. Each method requires
specialized training and equipment, and
health professionals should carefully
consider the speci c needs of their
patients when selecting a posture
analysis method.
Visual observation is the most basic
method of posture analysis and involves
the health professional observing the
patient's body alignment and movement
patterns. This method can be effective
for identifying gross postural
abnormalities, such as excessive
kyphosis or lordosis, but may not be as
accurate for more subtle imbalances or
dysfunctions.
