Using a Digital Camera 9
Posture Pro can accept image files from a wide range of sources. As long as the
file is in a bmp, gif, jpg, pix format, it can be imported into PP8.
You can even paste an image that is on the Windows clip-
board.
Posture Pro does not directly pull images from a digital
camera. There are too many camera versions to be able to do
that. A simple to use, file import screen is used. So how easy
and fast it is to get the images from the camera to the software
depends entirely on the camera or device you are using.
When selecting a digital camera, the most important consideration is the quality of
the lens, not the number of megapixels.
For that reason, we prefer SONY or Canon cameras.
About Mega Pixels
Most new cameras can take pictures in the megapixel range. Posture Pro only
need an image of 1024x760, or .8 megapixels. Set you camera for the image size clos-
est to 640x480. If you import an image that is much larger than that, things slow down
while PP8 resamples the image down to 1024x760.
Posture Pro has a built-in image editor that will make a copy of your picture and
reduce it to 1024x760 before importing it into the softwre.
The fastest way to import an image is to remove the media card from the camera
and insert it into a card reader, then point PP8 to the drive with the card reader and the
folder with the images.
Once you import a picture from a location, PP8 will return to that location for the
next picture.
